From one inverter to a complete series: how THINGS-TO-BUY grew step by step

Every successful product line starts small. The same applies to our converters. Where a few years ago we started with just one model, today our range consists of a complete series of five different versions. This allows us to offer a suitable solution for almost every application.

It started with the 6A converter

Our first step was the introduction of the 6A converter. This model quickly proved popular with customers looking for a reliable power supply for various 12-volt applications. Thanks to its stable performance and easy installation, the converter was widely used for LED lighting, security cameras, routers, and other electronic equipment.

We soon noticed that our customers' needs went beyond just this version.

Listening to real-world experience

At THINGS-TO-BUY, we believe it's important to listen to real-world experiences. Some customers were satisfied with 6 amps, while others needed more power for heavier applications.

Instead of offering one universal solution, we decided to gradually expand the range. This way, every customer can choose a converter that perfectly suits their situation.

First the expansion to 8A and 10A

The demand for more capacity led to the introduction of the 8A and 10A versions. This created a nice intermediate step for users who needed just a bit more power without immediately switching to the heaviest models.

This expansion made the product range more versatile and ensured that even more applications could be supported.

The latest step: 15A and 20A

Our series has recently been completed thanks to the addition of the 15A and 20A converters. Especially for installations with higher power consumption, these models offer the desired capacity and reliability.

With this latest expansion, we now have a complete product line from 6A up to and including 20A. This means that a suitable solution is available for both light and heavy-duty applications.

Why different power ratings?

Choosing a converter is not just about voltage, but also about the required power. An underpowered supply can become overloaded, while a much too powerful version is often unnecessary.

By offering multiple capacities, each user can choose a model that matches their own installation. This ensures efficient operation and a longer lifespan.
